Perched right in the heart of this picturesque Ligurian village, BluLuna is in the perfect location to experience the beauty of Riomaggiore. Just steps from the main street, you’re surrounded by local bars, charming restaurants, and shops. We already miss the fresh espresso and pastries from the café nearby. And we reminisce often about exploring the village’s winding streets.
The loft is only 350 meters from the sea and 300 meters from the train station, making it convenient to travel to other Cinque Terre towns. A short walk down the steps, and you find yourself at Marina di Riomaggiore. This is truly one of the most beautiful small harbors we’ve ever seen. Colorful boats line the marina, and the crystal-clear water is perfect for a refreshing dip. For history lovers, the San Giovanni Battista Church, dating back to the 1300s, is also quick stroll from the loft. There is a lookout point not far from the church as well. It is a great opportunity for photos, or watching the water from above the village.
Most importantly, the convenience to everything in town does not leave you sacrificing the hustle and bustle. During the day the chatter of tourists can barely be heard through the stone walls. At night, only the church bells can be heard. But how lucky are you to fall asleep to the traditional village bells.

Staying at BluLuna, we had easy access to the nearby beach and marina— both ideal for an afternoon of sunbathing or strolling. The loft was equipped with beach essentials like towels, an umbrella, and even snorkeling gear! There was also guidebook provided by the host with lots of local recommendations. And there was an array of local business cards and books to help us find hidden gems.
Our hosts also gave EXCELLENT directions to our meeting point in town, where they walked us to the accommodations. It was these small, thoughtful touches from the host that made us feel like we had everything we needed and more for the perfect holiday.

Yet, the recent renovations of sleek glass accents and polished metal finishes, make the space feel modern and chic. It’s clear that every detail was carefully considered.
The loft is compact yet cozy. It has a plush sleeping area that features a comfortable double bed that is perfect for one or two. The air conditioning ensured that we stayed cool during the warmer nights. And the chrome shower in the bathroom was spacious and refreshing after a hot day of exploring the coastline. It was wonderful to have a kitchenette fully stocked with everything we needed to cook a homemade meal. Although we have to admit, we enjoyed local dishes for most meals (not sorry about it either).
This was a one-of-a-kind experience clearly designed for relaxation and rejuvenation. The blue lighting can be dimmed or adjusted to fit your mood. It really is perfect for a romantic getaway, a meditative retreat, or simply a unique escape from the ordinary hotels in Cinque Terre.
